All welcome to the Scotland All Day Singing, in Paisley for the first time! Registration via this form is appreciated, though not mandatory. SCHEDULE: Friday 7th July, 7pm–9.30pm: First Friday Singing. Singing starts at 7.15pm Venue: Quaker Meeting House, 38 Elmbank Crescent, Glasgow, G2 4PS Saturday 8th July, 10am–4pm: Denson Sacred Harp Singing Venue: Holy Trinity & St Barnabas Scottish Episcopal Church, Back Sneddon St, Paisley, PA3 2DJ Singing starts 10.30am Dinner on the grounds (potluck lunch) Free! Donations invited towards costs Venue is wheelchair accessible. Loaner books available. Evening Social to follow, details to be confirmed. Sunday 9th July, estimated 12pm onwards: Venue: University of Glasgow Cloisters, Glasgow, G12 8QQ. We will meet for brunch and then for singing in the cloisters at Glasgow University, details to follow. The cloisters are outdoors, but covered with beautiful stone arches, can be cold, no seating, bring a chair if possible. |

https://www.travelinescotland.com is excellent for planning journeys Bus: good local links. No 9 and No 38 from Union Street, Glasgow drop you outside the town hall ( see map) 5 min walk from Holy Trinity Church Car: easy access from the M8 Junction 27. Plenty of parking nearby Train: the Church is opposite Gilmour Street Station in Paisley – the line goes to Central Station in Glasgow, journey time about 10 minutes. Trains from England to Glasgow usually arrive at Central Station and you just need to change platform to get a train to Paisley. Air: Holy Trinity is 15 mins from Glasgow International Airport on bus 757. From Edinburgh Airport there is an excellent coach service to Glasgow City Centre (1–1.5 hours), from where it is a 12–15 mins walk to Central station. Or the Tram connects to Edinburgh Haymarket Station from where trains go to Glasgow Queen Street station, a 10-minute walk to Central Station. There are also slower trains that go to Glasgow Central from Edinburgh Haymarket and Waverley. |
